I Had High Hopes

I had high hopes for the Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV Select since it’s supposed to make super hot coffee, but honestly, my husband said it wasn’t any hotter than his old coffee maker, which was the main reason I bought it. The coffee is good, but the design isn’t really my favorite either. It’s solid, but for us, it didn’t live up to the hype.

Do not buy

We received this in the mail for a Christmas gift. It came the wrong color along with it had been used. We ran one thing of water through it and it came out brown tinted. The seal was broken when we received the package and based on all the other reviews, I was concerned that this was a return.

Moccamaster coffee maker

Coffee tastes great and machine is very attractive on the counter, and like watching the water bubble up. However, a bit disappointed with the plastic components that feel a bit flimsy and not substantial.

Received Dirty Very Disappointed

Rating is for Macy's and its customer service today, not the coffee maker. I am so disappointed with this purchase. I ordered this coffee maker with high hopes. It was delivered and as I am opening the box, I get this sense something is wrong. The box of the coffee maker opens too easily--no tape or fasteners. I look inside I can see it was used. I have no idea how long the previous owner had it. There is a receipt attached noting that it was returned. I call customer service and this is the first time with all my purchases that I have difficulty getting someone to talk to express my disappointment that Macy's would ship this item to a customer like this. Yes I am going to return it and see if I can get another one. I was just so turned off by Macy's allowing their employees to send this to a customer. A customer wants the opportunity to provide feedback when something like this happens. I do not want this to reflect badly on the coffee maker--but Macy's needs to read this.
