Nice but toe strap narrow

I can tell these are good quality with a genuine leather footbed which is hard to find for some reason. I ordered size 9.5 and they fit ok but the strap that goes across the toe area is a bit narrow and was squeezing my toes. Also the ankle strap was a little tight. Size 10 may have been better but I still think it wouldn’t work.
