Nice cut but oh, so painful on those elastic seams

I opted to rate these 3-stars mainly because I appreciate the flared fit, which seems to be a very difficult cut to find in maternity jeans. I also like the way these have a normal jeans front and the ability for you to wear a belt if you choose. My biggest complaint with these jeans is that they are crazy painful to wear, specifically because of the seams around the elastic. The seams inside the jeans are absolutely massive and cut into my hips so bad it leaves red marks. The effect is less noticeable when I am wearing a tucked in undershirt, but I prefer to not have to do that every time. The size I got fits appropriately, but those seams are just badly done and really cause a lot of pain. My other issue is the frayed edges. I understand that this is the style in many jeans, and I have purposefully bought jeans with frayed edges before, but they don't look that frayed in the picture. I kind of feel like I got someone else's jeans they wore for a few months and returned.
