I bought these online. When I tried to return them to the store, the cashier and his supervisor could not figure out how to return an item bought online. It was something due to the fact that it was a third-party seller. While I was at the counter in the store, they told me to start a return on my phone. I did just that. I received the email that the return was initiated. They looked at the email I showed them I received on my phone and said I should be good to go. I asked them why they didn't scan the item or tried to do anything on the system to show that I am returning it. They said that it should be good. They did not provide me a return receipt or anything that shows I was even there, other than me handing them stuff and they putting it on the shelf behind them. We live 2 hours away. A couple days later I contact Macy's custsomer support to make sure my return was going through because they didn't scan the item in the store. Customer support said they do not see a return in their system but if I can provide them with the return receipt they can help me out. I told them I did not receive a return receipt. They said if you return to the store, they can give you a copy of the return receipt. I said they never gave me a return receipt so if I go back to the store they would have nothing to give me. She said that it is store policy to only review returns if there was a return receipt provided and if I can present a return receipt then she can look into it more. In the end, this was the result. I went to the store. The employee took my item and kept it. There is no record of me being there. Macy's Customer Support can't help me. I'm out the money I spent on the item I supposedly didn't return.
