Cap for a young teen size head

Size of cap was for someone in its early teen years. I purchased it as a gift for my son who lives out-of-state, as a gift. Cap was too small for his head. He will never wear it. This cap he talked about, since he saw my husband wearing back a year ago and thought we’d surprise him.
