Paper making kit fails

My grandkids and I are very handy people - but we could not get this kit to work. Step 1 is to mix dry, fluffy cotton-like paper pulp with warm water in supplied plastic jar..SHAKE VIGOUROUSLY. Pour slurry onto screen. WE COULD NOT GET SLURRY SMOOTH. REMAINS CLUMPY AND "PAPER" IS JUST A BUNCH OOF GLOBS. We even used a wand mixer and couldnot get the pulp fibers smoothed out. Cute idea, but this is not wrth $25.

Fun creativity

My 10 year old granddaughter loves this. It gives her a lot of options and it suitable for different age levels. She was so proud to show me how it works. I would like to be able to order more of the paper pulp stuff for her to make more (they may list an option I forget). This was a Christmas gift and in Spring she was still playing with it. The paper isn't very flat and usable per se or she needs to do something else with it; she's at the lower end of skill for it and still happy and proud. Creativity wise, it was great.
