Foot pillows are weird and ripped 2nd time worn

I've worn these two times and the big toe has ripped and ran...I can't believe it. I have tights that I've owned for years that haven't ripped yet. Also, I didn't realize it when purchasing but they have these weird foot pillows sewn into the foot...and a big toe separator, which is also strange. My guess is the tightness of big toe separator is why they've ripped so quickly, even though I have narrow feet. I also think they are slightly shiny, which I didn't like.
