Disappointing experience on the whole

They weren't very comfortable in the heel and the top gaped. I'm afraid they have to go back, but I also didn't receive a return shipment label and the box was shipped in just a thin plastic mailer, so it got really beat up along the way.

too bad- calf wider than described

I love the look of these, up to the top, but then there's one huge problem... the calf is wider than 14 1/4 inches, as described. My calf at the widest measures 14 inches exactly and these are huge. They gape open about 3/4 of an inch at the top. I love them otherwise, but will return due to this. I think a flattering boot hugs the calf, not opens at the top enough to pour something in.
