Coarse texture and delicate zipper

I really enjoy the look of this Duvet but the material is a coarse heavy weave. Not only is it rough to the touch, but it holds so much water during wash that I have to run it through the spin cycle an extra 3-5 times. On top of that, the shams close with a delicate zipper that broke the second time I washed it.

Beautiful but...

I love this set but it is not as wide nor as long as what the picture shows. I bought a king and it doesn't hang over enough to cover the mattress.
