Do not buy
The back of the show is so uncomfortable. My skin actually got cut from it. I love new balance shoes and they helped me even when i had planter facities. But NOT THIS ONE.

Back of the shoes dig into the heels
This would’ve been a great shoe for walking around. It is sporty looking while not looking overstated. The big problem was that the back of the shoe would dig into the heel when walking. Making it essentially a useless walking shoe.

Most Uncomfortable Ever
The 740 is the least comfortable shoe, of any brand, that I have ever owned. It is stiff all the wrong places, particularly the sides. It is difficult to keep the tongue from sliding down when putting them on, and also difficult to pull it back into place. I swapped them for a pair of 2002R, which are almost as good as my beloved 510 pair which are (alas!) parting at the seams. I don't stress shoes much - no running, no athletics - just walking, mostly on pavement. And I weigh just 140 lbs.
