Not same quality?

I've been purchasing NB for many years. For some reason, this last purchase the quality just doesn't feel the same. It feels thinner, not as durable. It could just be me; I'm just judging only on how they feel on my feet. Still probably a good value, but only time will tell.

Bad Quality

The very first day the shoe gave me a blister on the top of my second toe. It was rough feeling for several weeks. The heels of the shoe continue to feel rough against my ankles. The 1000s I bought are the most comfortable shoes I own. I don't know why there's such a big quality difference between the two.
