Too wide, Velcro not secure

I assumed my toddler needed an extra wide but these are way too wide for his feet. The Velcro is also not very secure. The sizing is not an issue with the product, but the Velcro part needs to be improved

AFO friendly shoes

Love that the extra wide option gives children in AFOs an alternative to "adaptive" shoes! Easy on and off and seem to be holding up well.

Love the XW New Balance Shoes!!

It was hard for me to find a shoe wide enough for my 1year olds chunky foot. I was happy to find New Balance sold the extra wide option and the way the Velcro opens upwards helps too. They are very stylish too! I’m very happy with my purchase!! Thank you!

Coolest kid on the block

Fit my toddler’s foot well in a wide - I like how the tounge opens up to enable easy on/off. Ran true to size.

Cute but comes off easily

Bought this pair for my toddler and it’s really cute. But, the top velcro bit is not that good as it tends to undo itself when my toddler walks. Would’ve been better to have Velcro only on one side versus the entire top.

I'd skip this one.

There's no way to tighten the elastic laces which is frustrating. The shoe stretches out over time like most shoes do but there's no way to tighten them so now they just flop around on the foot. The hook and loop attachment has to be so precisely attached and on a wiggly kid's foot, it can get annoying, it detaches very easily. Not a very supportive shoe for the ankle either. NB can do better.
