Pants are Huge!!! but I love the material

Bought a 46L. Fits just like a slim-fit should. Tried on the pants. They are HUGE only 5 sizes smaller (a 41). All of the stuff I have read about slim-fits (and most descriptions on the other suits) say they are 7 sizes smaller (a 39) and Modern fit are 6 sizes smaller (a 40). The description of the suite does not tell the pants size. I guess I should not assume. That said, I love the material. The pants are hemmed...I think they are 41W x 36L.
