Tight

I wanted a size 9 since I work in a hospital and on my feet all day. The sales person said they had 8 1/2 but was told they ran a little big. They fit fine at the store but when I wore them all day at work they became tight. As your feet swell when on them all day. So basically I only wore the that 1 day. Can you recommend how I can stretch the front out a little to give more toe room?

I went to Macy's to buy boots, but these work just as well. They are shoes. comfortable-- lot's of cushioning. I only gave them 4 stars because they have poor arch support for a running shoe.
