Disappointed - Runs Small
I bought these boots a full size bigger. I wear a 9. When they finally arrived over a month after ordering them, I had to return them. They run small/tiny/narrow. I could not get my foot in them. There's a hard piece in the boot before you can push the foot in there. It has no give.

Nine West slouchy leather boots
I bought these in black and cream in 7.5, my usual size, but they are at least half-a-size too short:(( If you have long toes, you probably will need to go a full size up. (The pointed toe isn't long like a cowboy boot :)) The sole has no padding, and the heel area fit wide. The outer sole has some shallow grooves, so I would not expect much traction in wet conditions. The cream 7.5 measures 9" from the heel to toe and 11.5", measured along the boot, from the center of the heel to the toe. Widest part of the sole measures 3.125". They are a thin, soft leather and you can pull the leather gathering up or push it down for the look you're seeking because the fabric lining is only stitched to the top and bottom of the shaft:) Another plus- the top of the shaft has a 1.75" inner band in matching leather, so you don't see the lining when worn. They are a well thought out design and appear well made. They are made in China.
