Love this machine! A little confusing at first, but mostly because I'm impatient!

Bought as a gift.

The recipient likes it, I personally don't drink coffee but its a fun coffee maker to use to make drinks for friends/family. Makes at home barista easy, no guesswork, no wondering if I'm doing something right or wrong, 3 buttons and bam you've got a drink. A negative I would say because I'm dumb, it has many fail safes to stop you from doing the wrong thing (not being able to grind without a basket in the portafilter, telling you to put the funnel on it) but sometimes just being dumb I've hit the brew button instead of the grind button, and it start like its on a brewing cycle without the portafilter installed, which imo should require atleast a portafilter installed to brew. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Good afternoon. Yesterday I received my order with this coffee machine. At first glance everything is fine, but I didn't notice that this model does not have a basket for making a single espresso. A double espresso is too strong for me. Could you please tell me if it is possible to use a Single Basket in this model? If so, is it possible to purchase it additionally?

Misleading - cold foam feature cannot be found

Just received this and excited to try it out. I bought this rather than the Premier version after comparing the features. This model is advertised with 'dual frother create perfectly textured hot or cold microfoam with 2 preset froth programs'. I don't really need the cold brew feature of the Premier but wanted the cold foam feature so I thought that the Essential fits the bill at a cheaper price. After reading the manual and quick start guide and trying to find the cold foam feature on the machine, I have to conclude that the feature is no where to be found. I'm very unhappy that Ninja has misled me in their false advertising.

Nothing but Headaches

I bought this 2 months ago and it's been nothing but headaches ever since. Inconsistent frothing and today it decided to stop brewing all together. I get a few drops of espresso every time I use it. Save yourself the headache and do no buy this.

Coffee the way it should be

I have been using the cafe lux for a little over 2 months and I can say I am still thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of the coffee this machine produces At this point it is incomparable against the standard coffee maker Fresh ground beans seemingly make all the difference. I absolutely love the fact that whether I am looking for an Expresso or a giant coffee to head out the door it never disappoints Unlike my coffee pod brewer which more so tends to get watery as you brew larger cups this machine brews a consistent coffee tailored to the strength selected Making an Expresso, Cappuccino, Ice Cap, Lattes or just a standard coffee is all quite easy the clean up and maintenance of the machine is straight forward. The froth unit also has a very easy to use system allowing for tailoring to your preference If I had one concern about this machine it would be the grind cap which is plastic. A machine like this should really have something more durable like stainless-steel to match up with the rest of the hardware. Nonetheless I just pay attention to what I am doing with it and exercise caution as to not accidentally damage it. Overall, the ninja cafe lux did not disappoint and I would highly recommend it to any coffee enthusiast. The ability to make a simple regular coffee right up to pretty much any specialty coffee right in your own home is definitely a game changer.

Great tasting coffee customize to individual taste

I got this machine as a gift. I had a grind and brew machine which I made small pot for myself and my wife every day. I tried the new machine for the past couple of weeks and the quality of the brew is much better than my grind and brew. Using the same coffee beans, this machine brews a much smoother and richer tasting coffee. On the weekends, I brew espresso for myself. It is as good as my stove top espresso maker. It is much faster. My wife like the rich setting and I like the classic. We are able to make coffee to suit our own taste and when we want it. The most important feature for my family is that each of us can make coffee to our liking and when we want it. For the grind and brew, I have to make a small pot to share with my wife.
