Functional and beautiful!

I had my eye on this set for a while. I needed some lightweight plates to replace some pretty heavy ones that I had inherited from a relative. And I only had a few bowls, so in terms of meeting those marks this fulfilled it! But really once I saw this collection I wanted some of these pieces so bad! The designs are beautiful and simple, I love the watercolor paintings of the vegetables. I've had them for about 2 weeks now, put them through the dishwasher a few times, and they're doing well. I hope the designs last forever because they're my favorite dinnerware ever!

Need an in-between plate size

Absolutely love this series and bought both the 6inch appetizer plates and the 9.25 deep dishes. Great quality and such beautiful design. Really wish there is a size that is in between, something like 7.5-8 that would service city dwellers with smaller kitchen.

These bowls are smaller than 21 oz, measured by both volume and weight of water they can hold.

Great appetizer set up

I have a a number of pieces in this pattern I use as an appetizer service. The pattern is attractive and has the feel of fine porcelain. I always get compliments. The tea mugs make great containers for sauces and dips. The 6” plates, a set of small bowl and the square plates to use as platters makes a very nice presentation.

AMAZING!

I had been searching forever for the perfect dinnerware after years of using heavy, stoneware that was horribly scratched up from use. I narrowed my choices down, and decided to order the Shunsai collection. The dishes are beautiful, sturdy, lightweight, and do not scratch. I had company for dinner and they all commented on the beauty of the pattern. This is exactly what I had hoped for. I would recommend these dishes to everyone!
