NOT HARD TO PLEASE

To be fair, this is a gorgeous garland. What you have to watch for is the roping easily breaks when handled, even if gently, which makes for easier decorating and getting garland around the tree (as opposed to one long rope and winding it all around the tree), but it breaks so easily in any spot that it will probably not be much good for another season. It’s just really, really delicate. That said, my Christmas tree looks beautiful wrapped in these pieces of red garland.

NOT as pictured or described

I deliberately scoured the pictures and descriptions for tinsel garlands on multiple websites to be sure I was getting the fine-strand tinsel pictured here, and NOT the cheap, ugly fat-strand tinsel being used today. Nowhere in the description or any of these pictures did Macy's or Northlight admit that this garland used the cheap fat strands, but it does - and the packing and shipping crimped and creased them because that's what happens with the cheaper, wider tinsel. Macy's and Northlight used to have good quality, but no more. This was a bait-and-switch charging a higher-quality price for a cheaper product.
