Expensive but Quality
I couldn't get any psyllium from NOW for a while and bought other brands. They were not as good quality. It is way too expensive, but I have to have it.

We apologize for your negative experience. There are many other brands on the market that use sweetener, are flavored and diluted with some kind of starch for easier mixing. Since we offer a pure psyllium husk, it’s just a fiber which thickens up when mixed with liquid so we recommend consuming it right after mixing and not letting it sit over a period of time.
Perfect consistency
Perfect grind to powder for east mixing and drinking. Other pranks are either too fine or too large of a grind. I actually have time to stir and drink before the husk starts to thicken.

Won't stay dissolved
I bought this the other day at my local Fruitful Yield store with the intention to use it in my morning coffee. I already have my collagen powder in my coffee and have never had any issues with it not dissolving fully. The first morning the Psyllium powder didn't dissolve at all and I ended up with yucky psyllium balls at the bottom of my cup. Today, I poured in some coffee and stirred until everything was dissolved and then filled the rest of the cup. Unfortunately, by the time I was nearing the end of my coffee, it was sludge. I guess the powders had sunk to the bottom. Off to find other ways to use up the large bag of psyllium husk powder I now have.

Pure psyllium husk powder is a bran fiber which is not instantized and is not expected to dissolve in liquids. The commercial brands that are designed to dissolve use very fine powders and are typically mixed with about half maltodextrin to drive the dissolution process and disperse the powder more evenly in liquids, with added artificial sweeteners/flavors for palatability, rather than being a pure fiber product like ours. Psyllium is a bulking fiber and will thicken in liquid, with the effect increasing over time. A common use is in smoothies, which also would tend to thicken from the added bulking fiber if not consumed right away or mixing into juice or water, drinking before it thickens.
