Not as Pictured
This rug had much bigger separations between colors and was thicker than expected. Also had a foul smell after several days of being laid out in a ventillated room. We hope to return it.

Does not look like the pictures
I received this rug today and looks nothing like the pictures. Also the white fibers have orange, pink, blue, green fibers in them as well which don’t look good. There is also parts of the rug that are already frayed.

Beautiful but creates a mess
I loved the look of this rug but it is drops so much dust and sheddings from the jute that after a couple weeks I took it out of the room. I may use it outdoors next summer. I would not recommend this rug for indoors.

We are sorry to learn about this issue. Jute is a natural fiber made from jute grass. The fibers come from the plant's stalk, not its leaves. Jute rugs, like most natural fiber rugs, do shed little fibers that fall out under the rug, which look like dirt when you lift the rug to clean it. The “dirt/shedding" is a breakdown of the natural fiber. This rug is not designed to be used outside and is designed for outdoor use. Nice color
I love the look of this rug. I was looking for something like this to either replace our living room rug in our current home or store to put in the next home. We ended up storing it, but not because we didn't like it. The color is perfect for what I was looking for, although the pattern is a little bigger than I expected. Some reviews stated there wasn't a jute smell, but this one has a smell. We plan to air it on the balcony before laying it in the house. It came nicely packed and delivery was quick.
