Great Product, Reasonable Price
Owned an older version, the "6978" for about 9 years and never had a problem with it. I recently purchased the "9125e" and thus far, I am very happy with its overall performance.

Unending Problems
It keeps disconnecting from my computer. IT IS AWFUL! I can never count on it to work. It works off my phone but not off my computer, probably because it was set up with my phone. I had a licensed computer specialist set it up for me.

Persistent Network Dropout and Scanning Service Failure – Needs Firmware Attention
This HP printer consistently drops off the network after a few hours of inactivity, despite being continuously connected to both AC power and a stable Wi-Fi connection. The device enters an offline state, and scanning services fail with recurring error messages. It appears that the background scanning process terminates unexpectedly or fails to auto-recover. A critical issue is the dynamic reassignment of the printer's IP address via DHCP. Once this change occurs, the printer becomes unreachable, and no print jobs can be executed until a manual hard reboot is performed. Static IP configuration mitigates this somewhat but does not fully resolve the offline behavior. This suggests either a power-saving mode that does not resume network functionality properly or a firmware bug affecting idle-state recovery. As a user, I expect a network printer to remain discoverable and responsive as long as it's powered and within a connected network environment. This behavior significantly disrupts workflow and should be addressed via a firmware update. I strongly recommend that HP investigate the printer’s sleep/idle network handling logic and scanning service timeout routines.
