Not for short trunks

I’m short from my bust to my hips. I can usually wear high waisted pants, but these are very high waisted. There is a lot of heavy denim on these.

Runs large. size down one size!

I do realize these jeans are barrel leg which means they will be a relaxed fit, but in spite of that they run large. I ordered two side by side sizes and the smaller one arrived and fits fine. I will be sending the larger one back when it arrives. They are a tiny bit snug at the top of the waist, but since they are made of cotton spandex, I expect them to stretch out when wearing. Denim is somewhat heavy, but the wide/barrel leg style creates "ventilation" for wearing in warmer weather. I have tried several different brand barrel jeans, and none have worked until these from Macy's. It takes some getting used to, I believe, for the style.
