Legit Better Coffee

I purchased this after reading that America's Test Kitchen recommended it. I was suprised at just how much of a difference it makes. We previously used a Kuerig and the Oxo 8 Cup Brewer puts the Kuerig to shame. This is an SCA (speciality coffee association) certified maker and for good reason. If one of the favorite parts of your day is that cup of coffee in the morning, this maker is well worth the money. Other notes- it doesn't have an auto brew but I was surprised that it brews a full 8 cups pretty quickly. I'm learning to appreicate it's simplicity. It's also very easy to clean.

Exchange for a broken 9 cup Oxo

Love the simplicity, no clock, no timer! After owning the 9 cup cone filter the basket filter just doesn't brew quite the same cup of coffee. Oxo made good on the 9 cup that suffered some kind of pump failure and so our exchange was for the 8 cup. Everything is good with the new one just not quite the same as the 9.

Excellent Coffee! Not a fan of newer carafe

This is the second time I've purchased this coffee maker! (The first one I had lasted 10 years, and then I flooded the electronics when I tried cleaning the machine, so that was my bad!). The coffee comes out excellent and it's such a great price for the quality of machine and coffee you get from it. My only complaint is that this second time around, I noticed the carafe has changed slightly, and so when I pour my coffee into my cup, it always leaks out of the carafe, which never happened which my old carafe. I still have the old carafe, and the spout shape/size has definitely changed slightly, as well as maybe how far the lid closes. I still love the machine, but it is really annoying to deal with a litlle dripping.

Good every day coffee maker.

Great coffee pot that brews 8 cups quickly. Container keeps the coffee hot for many house. Wish it would brew the coffee a bit hotter! Easy to clean.

Carafe issues

The carafe has issues keeping coffee warm and it goes room temp after like 30 minutes. After about a year it’s stopped sealing and coffee gets all over my counter. I really wanted to love this but sadly I had to replace it.

Happy but confused

Like the unit and its features. Just one issue. I cannot find how to remove the rainmaker showerhead. It just will not permit a move upward as described on the web. I don't want to force it. Does it need a light tap upward with a tool or small hammer?
