I initially thought I would not like this be a it seemed like a lot of flat area for water to stand. Found out that there was a slope towards the holes and water did not stand in the flat areas. I love this because when I toss a small spoon or lid into the reach it doesn’t slip through the grates like on my old drainer. I cook and bake a lot so use a wide variety of utensils and this rack hold all of them well. It is big enough that it fits the whole sink- but doesn’t hit the sides. The aluminum legs and wrap around part seem very sturdy and hopefully will not rust. I am so pleased with this dish drainer after 2 weeks that I plan to get another just like this for when this one becomes old and worn out.

Handsome but impractical
This looks handsome in our kitchen. Because it's aluminum, it won't rust, which is nice. However. It lacks slots for glasses and cups, so it's smaller than it looks. Also, the drain tray underneath the rack is inconveniently in two pieces. Worst of all, OXO recommends running it through the dishwasher once a week! That's just unrealistic for us. (I do detach and clean it every few days, but having to detach it is another inconvenience. ) I would not purchase this again.

We replaced our old Rubbermaid
We replaced our old Rubbermaid drain tray with OXO. So far, no complaints. I like the actual drain system, so all water goes into the sink.
