[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not used it yet but it looks very sturdy and well made.

The OXO Good Grips Silicone Basting & Pastry Brush is an excellent, easy-to-use tool that evenly spreads sauces, oil, butter, and more. It's dishwasher safe, made of heat-resistant silicone, and BPA-free. Initially, I thought the angled brush would be harder to handle, but it's actually quite easy to use, and the angled design keeps the bristles off counters. Overall very durable and great value. Highly recommend!

My previous pastry brush didn't clean up very well (always felt like it was oily). This is a great replacement.

The silicon brush is an excellent choice over the natural bristle. No hair pieces left on your food. Although the natural brush did a better job at covering oil or sauce strokes over difficult areas to cover. Ultimately no hair bristles.The high temperature quality of the silicone is better choice.

This handle is bent on an angle so the brush does not rest on the counter and get contaminated. Silicone bristles hold the sauce but handle heat up to 500 degrees. Great for grilling and basting.

Baking and kitchen-sized brush with a layer designed to hold sauce or glaze between the brush layers. Effective, easy to use and clean. Not for grilling basting tasks where you want to swab chicken or steaks. But egg-wash -- absolutely!

Pastry works well to spread olive oil on meat to BBQ.
