better than others
I bought several similar onion choppers but they all broke because of the force you have to use. I've had the Oxo over 5 years now and it doesn't break. Plus it's the only kind that comes with a removable liner for the chopping squares, so you pull any little pieces right out and don't have to go in the grooves with a brush. You still have to clean the metal cutting blade array. Now, if they could come up with a way to remove the onion skin!

New Kitchen Tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this item. It looks amazing and seems really easy to use. I really was not happy with its performance. It made the cuts really big. I was hoping for more smaller size pieces. I will continue to use it. Just sucks that I had to go back and cut all my onions by hand because the pieces were too big for what I needed.

Disappointed
First thing I tried to do was chop some celery. I sliced it into thin strips an d placed it on the blades. I had trouble pressing hard enough to cut the celery and had to repeat the pressure several times before the blades cut through. Even then when I opened the chopper some of the celery was still unchoped and stringy. I emptied out the container. Some of the celery was stuck in the area of the knives. I tried reverse flushing with water. Still some pieces left and I received a minor cut from the “sharp” blades. I haven’t even tried to dice anything since that experience.
