Runs seriously small

I am a US size 9. Sizing indicates to order down if you're a half size as the design is built to accommodate up and is known for it's attention to comfort. These boots were painfully tight. Didn't even try the other one on. They do look gorgeous in the box but I have no idea what size I'd even order to show these boots off and be remotely comfortable. I was truly sad about having to return these. I cannot recommend.
