Sweet and Short

Based on other reviews, I orders a size up (14 instead of 12). I am 5’7, 205 lbs, and 38-33-47 bust-waist-hip circumference. The size 14 fit perfectly. The dress is super flattering on, but it is too short for my height. Obviously it’s corduroy and would be worn in cooler months so adding tights could help… but it’s too short for work and bending over just solidifies that. Recommend to petite ladies.

I loved this corduroy dress but

It was too short for myself and where I planned to wear it. I purchased the navy in 12 and it was snug. The 14 would’ve given the look I wanted. A bit inconsistent since I normally purchase 10 in RL but wanted it to fit loser like on the model but it was fitted on the waist. I’m hourglass and the dress does flair out more added to it looking shorter on me and I’m 5’5” not beat tye models height. I did go by the sizing chart. Anyway the quality is beautiful. I’m sure someone will love it but I sent it back but it still gets 5 stars.

Runs small

The dress is cute, but it runs very small. I even ordered a size up after reading other reviews, and it still arrived looking smaller than any dress I own. Unfortunately, I had to return it.

Too Small

Cute, but runs very small. I even sized up from my normal size based on reviews, and it arrived looking smaller than any dress I’ve purchased. If you have a larger chest, this dress is not for you. Had to return.

Disappointed

I’m very disappointed in this dress. I have many other shirt dresses by Ralph brands and think they are so flattering but the pockets hit in the worst area for this dress. The color is also much more muted than the picture.

RL corduroy A line shirt dress

The Ralph Lauren a-line shirt dress is made from a soft, yet substantial fine gauge corduroy. The cotton material is a huge plus and the a-line shape is very flattering. There is quite a bit of material in the flared bottom third of the dress, but it's not a deal-breaker. I purchased the brown which is a wonderful deep dark chocolate. The fit is TTS with two caveats. It is very narrow through the bodice so if you have a larger chest or wide shoulders it may not work for you or you may need to size up. Also, at 5'4" this dress came mid-thigh on me. If you are tall, this may be shorter than you would like. The buttons on this dress are exceptionally small so if you have any issues with dexterity in your fingers (or if you don't have a minute or the patience to spare as you are getting ready for your day) this is not the dress for you.
