I’m very disappointed in these lamps. they’re small (which I could live with, if that were all) and the poles are so thin as to be fragile. They could bend and break very easily. But the deal-breaker for me is that the shades are cheap trash. They hold together on the frame by a magnetic strip that looks as tacky as it sounds. They don’t attach to the poles—they just balance precariously—with all the substance but none of the charm of a paper lantern. They don’t even have a metal frame. (Did I mention you have to assemble them—such as they are—yourselves?) I was late in opening and assembling these when I received them, and as a result missed the deadline to return them. I’ll probably throw them away, because I doubt even Good Will would want them. They’re the worst purchase I’ve ever made from Macy’s, and Macy’s should be embarrassed to sell this kind of trash.
Flimsy, tacky, cheap
