Closure Hardware Broken

I received this item only three months ago and yesterday the closure hardware broke. I’ve tried to call Macy several times to resolve this issue and they are refusing because it’s outside of the return policy window even though it’s still a brand new item and was gently used. Wouldn’t recommend buying anything for Macy’s.
