Nice Bottle. 5th Red Fragrance no improvement

After a number of misses in the R.L. men's fragrance dept. since the mid-2000s, I was hoping this was going to be a hit. Isn't Ansel a hit? "Original" Red was the start of a new concept of being wild with a sweet, woodsy informal fragrance. But the smell was weak and short lived. Then came Red Intense (nice, but perfumy sweet) and Red Extreme EDP (a scent similar to what a shiny oriental wooden lacquer chest smells like, full of oranges and coffee beans -- deep and exquisite, in other words). Then comes Red Rush, a little bit stronger than Red "original" but less sweet. Now, here was the opportunity to maybe use Remix as a reformulation of the dull "original". I don't know how many times I had to spray it, but the scent just didn't penetrate -- and it doesn't last. But IT IS a good scent, like a mix between Red, Red Rush, and Red Extreme. Mandarin, wood, and coffee stood out. It wasn't meant to be all new, but "Remix" suggests improved. Do what I did: save your money.
