Much too small

I purchased a pair of Rockport shoes for my dad at Christmas and he really liked them. I decided to purchase a second pair of Rockport's and picked this style since it came in black which is what he wanted. Ordered same size as the other style Rockport's and he can't even get his feet into them. Not sure I want to go up a size or try a wide width. These shoes are definitely not true to size.

Shoes fit like a narrow not a medium. Even purchased half size larger and still too small
