So many years, still missing tactile homing button
Even the latest Roku Remote lacks a tactile homing button, something so simple. The Play/Pause button, arguably the most used button on the remote, does not have any tactile homing buttons on it so that when you touch that button, you feel the little tiny bumps letting your finger know that you're on the right button without ever looking at it. Nearly every major remote for any device does this with their main button(s). Just add 3 raised dots on the play/pause button, problem solved.

Colors coming off buttons after 2 months
After 2 months of upgrading my current remote and also buying a new ultra device just to update an older one I had that actually still worked fine... The colors on the buttons are rubbing off. I've had multiple Roku devices for many years now. I've replaced multiple remotes and I times I just like to upgrade my older models. I've never had the colors rub on off any remote and I've had some heavily used ones in the past. I've been a fan and big supporter of Roku. But when I told them about the colors already coming off my brand new remote they basically said tough cookies, you're stuck with it. This is really upsetting coming from a company that I've used for years, promoted to my friends and spent money with them even when I didn't need to. I bought this remote for my living room and I like things to look nice and in good condition but now this remote that sits on the coffee table looks old a beat up already. I already want to replace it because it looks like a junky on my table but I definitely don't want to give Roku any more money after this and definitely don't want to pay to replace something that is new. This might just be the straw that broke the camels back and it's time to try a new streaming device and cut ties with Roku since they don't seem to have any appreciation for their long time customers.

Bring back the headphone jack!
We liked the old remote with the headphone jack so someone could watch a show and the rest of the family didn’t have to hear it. Very helpful when someone is busy with work or homework and someone else is watching tv.

why all the promotional buttons?
I don't get why you have to have Disney, Netflix, Apple TV. Not everybody has those. Why not just enable them to be assigned to your favorite channels? Personally, every time I see that, I think it's a canned remote that came with a promotional TV. Whereas Roku seems to be above all that. I have one that I purchased a year plus ago, and I like it. I could see improvements needed for it, but not to start adding buttons like Disney, et cetera, when some people never ever would use them. I have one of the earlier backlit models ..I like it but seem room for improvement.. but not in this fashion

Shortcut buttons
Why are these not customizable? I have use for only one of the four, so from the “get go”, 75% of these buttons are useless to me.

No more private listening
I cannot hear in private anymore there is no 3.5 jack. In the previous version you could use it in private more and is was very convenient.

Add a finger print reader
Add a finger print to each profile/user so we can have security for kids. A password on the screen doesn't work, they can see the # being entered. Then allow parents to choose which user can see which installed apps, and then later add the ability for apps made for Roku to subscribe to security based on program rating.
