Silky Lipstick Shine is inspired by the luster of Hermès silk. Like a veil of color and shine, this new lipstick enhances the lips with subtle color of buildable intensity to create the desired level of coverage. Gregoris Pyrpylis, Creative Director of Hermès Beauty, has created a palette of sensual beiges, vibrant reds and subtle pinks. The hybrid makeup and lip-care formula provides comfort and hydration from the moment it is applied. Formulated with oils and butters, it also contains active ingredients that care for the lips, including hydrating and plumping raspberry leaf extract, smoothing and softening sesame seed extract, nourishing and protecting Abyssinian oil and white mulberry. The scent, created by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel, combines delicate arnica, sandalwood and angelica. Pierre Hardy has designed an object with slender lines and a lacquered and brushed metal finish. Its cap is engraved with the Hermès ex-libris. It is protected by a Rouge H canvas pouch and nestled in an orange box. Silky Lipstick Shine is refillable. Only the lipstick bullet itself will need replacing. Refills are sold separately.

Get this if you want to treat yourself

I purchased the shade Rose Boise and it’s a my lips but better shade. I don’t really like dark lipsticks so when I received it I was a bit nervous but the formula is very light and silky so the color was not dark at all. I can see myself using this everyday. I cannot detect a scent and it is quite moisturizing compared to other lipsticks. Yes, the price makes you do a double take but I love purchasing beauty through Macys because they always come through with a great deal and they have a great selection. Plus, if you’re going to splurge, make it count. I was definitely not disappointed with this lipstick!

Sample was okay

So I only got to test a sample packet using a lip brush which is a MUCH different experience than applying from the tube, but as a fair gal, I do enjoy the formula for lighter shades. It seems sheer, so idk if I’d recommend the more pigmented shade unless you are very tan with dark lips, but again, the lip brush application may be applying it more sheerly. The fragrance is dare I say the most enjoyable scented makeup from a true prestige brand I’ve smelled. More fruity than floral, thank goodness, but it does have a bit of a perfumey taste. I would much prefer a natural flavor than perfume in my lipstick. It does give a pretty sheen & feels nice on the lips. The perfect lipstick!

I received the Rouge Hermès Silky Lipstick Shine for free to review. This was my first time trying out Hermes lipsticks and I’m impressed! I love how pigmented they are and the finish is perfect!
