Do your designers actually IRON?

Please stop making the water tank black/blue, it’s impossible to see how much water is in the tank, and when filling it, we end up spilling water all over because you can’t see where the water level is. Overall, this is not the Rowenta I’ve known for 30 years. No way is this machine made in Germany any more.

Terrible iron

I bought this a couple of weeks ago on the recommendation of the Rowenta support person I talked to. My 11 year old Rowenta died. I should have spent the money to fix that one. This one is greatly inferior. It heats slowly, sometimes shuts off the steam for no reason, and it only works on max temperature and max steam. Do not buy this one.

So expensive, so poor quality

I saved for 2 years to get a really good iron. I have had this for 4 months & every time I use it water pours out of bottom plate. It does not even iron wrinkles out. I have only used distilled water in it. You can't see the water level you pour in. I am so upset, I can't afford to replace it with different model.Rowenta can you please help me.

HAZARDOUS CONNECTION

I bought this iron a year or so ago thinking I was getting something that would last. Well the electrical cord at the ball joint started arcing and could have been a real safety hazard. The "clamp: that holds the cord down below the swivel has points on it that cut through one of the cord conductors and started arcing on and off. My husband was able to cut out the bad section and get it working properly but this shouldn't have happened!! Doubt I will buy another when this one finally fails.

Reduced heat after 2 years of barely being used

This iron seemed great at first. I wanted a really an ultra hot iron for the linen and cotton I need to iron (I do not own synthetic fabrics). My time is limited to spend on chores like this, so ironing in one small spot for 2- 3 minutes to get it right is torture! I don't iron that much, maybe 4-6 times a year. After 2 years this is not as hot as it once was and takes longer to accomplish my tasks. Also, I never liked that the burst of steam needs time to build up a burst, after using the burst button. My mom had a Rowenta that would burst fast, one after the other. Now with this one, I have to go back to using a spray bottle with water to get my job done quicker. I am sad that this iron will not be a part of my life for long, like I thought it would be when I spent the extra money on it hoping to get the best. I have been ironing all my life and wanted the best instead of just an iron...oh well.

Pro Master DW8183 fails to auto shutoff

After about 1.5 years, it started going to auto shutoff for no reason, the light flickers and there is no way to turn the iron back on except unplugging and plugin the main power. It will then hea for a few seconds and get to auto shutoff mode again. Works well for short time so much for German Engineering. It now makes sense why the warranty is only for 1 year , Rowanta knows the product is short lived. Other lower cost irons have 2+ years of warranty.

For being Germany made is a piece of garbage

I have bought three Rowenta iron, the last one a Rowenta Model DW81833 "PROMASTER" in all occasions it has been a waste of money, it drips no matter the setting. It goes off for no reason and never heats enough to remove wrinkles. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IT IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE
