Ratings & Reviews

Here's what customers think
  • The training shoes are widely praised for their comfort, support, and suitability for a variety of workout activities.
  • Many highlight the lightweight construction, good arch support, and flexibility, making them well-suited for exercises like Zumba, HIIT, and Jazzercise.
  • However, some found the shoes too "grippy" for quick pivots and side-to-side movements, potentially causing knee issues.
  • A few also experienced durability issues, with the soles wearing down quickly.
  • Additionally, some felt the toe box was too narrow, causing discomfort.
  • Overall, the shoes seem to be a versatile and comfortable training option, particularly well-suited for high-impact, aerobic workouts, but may not be optimal for activities requiring quick lateral movements.

Thought They’d Last Longer

Unlike previous styles, these did not hold up to my Zumba classes. I’ve only been wearing them since the first of the year, and they’re coming a part at the seams along the pinky toe

Poor quality

Used them for less than 2 months and they ripped from 2 places. Not worth it!

A downgrade from the original Devotion XT

I attend 3–4 high-impact dance fitness classes weekly and have relied on the original Devotion XT Training shoes for years. Since my pair is worn out and black is now the only color available, I tried the Devotion XT 3, expecting an upgrade. It isn’t. The XT 3 is clearly inferior to the original: insufficient heel cushioning, a stiffer overall feel, and poor flexibility for tiptoes and pivoting, which are essential for dance fitness. I have a meniscus tear, and this shoe aggravated my knee after breaking it in, with pain lasting over a week. If you have knee or joint issues, this shoe is not appropriate for high-impact dance workouts. I gave it 2 stars only because it looks nice. Ryka should bring back more color options of the original Devotion XT, which remains their best shoe for high-impact dance fitness, especially for active women in their 40s and 50s.

Devotion XT 3

Good supportive shoe. It took a little while to get used to the back being slightly higher in the back than the Devotion XT. I received a recent email from Ryka titled “New Year, New Shoes, where it looks like Ryka is discontinuing sizes 5 & 5.5.

Great fit

Very pleased with these shoes. Ryka seems to always fit my feet and very comfortably. Also, they aren't made in China.

Slow shipping

I'm not sure why you're asking me to review something I haven't even received yet. It's been 2 weeks and I have no idea where the package is.

Supportive. Not so cushy

These fit well and were average comfort. Good looking shoe. However I sent them back bc I’m suffering from Achilles tendinitis and they were not the level of cushion I need right now. Sadly bc I really liked them

Inconsistent Sizing

I needed new Jazzercuse shoes, and really loved the tread design on my previous XTs. There must be poor quality control going on here because the right shoe was significantly bigger than the left. The soles were the same, but the mesh area was much larger. I returned them, but was only offered a credit... been wearing Ryka over 20 years, but disappointed in the quality and sadly may have to look for a new brand.
