Maybe better as a trainer than a walking shoe

I would never market these as a walking shoe. They would be much more useful as a trainer, if the soles were a bit more flexible and the inner sole more comfortable. They seem to provide great lateral stability, but they don't have a decent rocker motion for walking. In addition to this basic drawback they are too short in length and l will be returning them. The 'size chart' on the Macy's webpage for the shoes indicate that the US 8 ½ is equivalent to an EU 39. However, the shoe itself says they are an EU 38.5. For a sport shoe this is too small for me. I'm disappointed because I got them at a great price but now that the sale is over I would have to pay almost twice as much to exchange them.

Excellent Shoes!

I bought these shoes for a trip that required a lot of walking because I wanted to be as comfortable as possible and I read that they may do the trick. I am so glad I bought these shoes. I have wide feet so I love that they offer a wide version. They fit really nicely (not tight at all) and were very comfortable for walking in all day. I am very happy with my purchase!

I've tried them all and have returned- to these shoes. I have arthritis - and these are the best shoes ever to keep me walking every day

The best!

I have worn Ryka shoes for years and find them to be the best fit for my foot. I wear orthotics and they fit perfectly if the shoe has a removable insole. Nice to not have the toes squished inside! They wear well as I do a lot of walking.
