Very disappointed.

We bought this 8 months ago. Both burners were shutting off or losing heat in the middle of cooking. It just started smoking around the control dial and is now done. Very disappointed, I thought Salton was a good name.

New model works great

Mine did have the burner issue as mentioned in another review but they replaced it and this one seems like an updated model and works even better!

Doesn’t last more than 4 months

I have bought 2 of these in past and both of them stopped working after 4-5 months. So disappointing. Big left burner stops working after couple months. Same issue i had with previous one.

Looks good but not worth the purchase.

I purchased this item on August 28, 2022 and by November I noticed that at times one of it's burners was not giving off the heat of the other burner. This morning that burner could not boil water. Another thing the markings on the stove after wiping it down after use they started to wipe off. I'm giving it 2 stars because I like the idea of the cooktop, sleek with good lines.

Hi Zola, Thanks for the feedback. Salton portable infrared cooktop model HP1269 has two 900 watt elements. There should be no visible difference between the two. We strongly recommend using cookware with diameter close to the diameter of the cooking surface. The cookware should be flat bottomed for best heat transfer.
