Ordered size 6 received 8 1/2

I ordered a size 6 from Macy's online. I received an 8 1/2. I called Macy's customer service. The rep said I could either return the shoes at a Macy's store or in the mail via UPS. I decided to go to my local Macy's store. I tried to return them, but I was told that they don't sell Sam & Libby shoes at that location, and I would have to return them to the vendor through the mail. Now I have to visit a UPS store to return this pair of shoes. I am very upset about the inconvenience. I will never order items from this brand again.
