Unsure of durability
Arrived with multiple scratches and dents. Not happy about it. Unsure if this is due to poor shipper handling or it was sold like that. Will be checking w Macy's to discuss exchange or return. If it's durability is so "soft", I could only guess what it would look like after and if it withstand an extended trip beeing checked in with baggage handlers. Scary.

The best Samsonite I have found
After going through a mx of different luggage this was a dream to find. Solid, as aluminum is. Spacious enough. Though mildly heavier than other luggages the difference is only a few pounds. I do a lot of international travel so this withstands all kinds of abuse. Looks great and extremely stylish. Better than a Rimowa with better pricing.

Beautiful but likely not durable
Have always had Samsonite luggage. I purchased the Proxis Aluminum carry-on and large spinner luggage for an upcoming trip. The carry-on arrived from Samsonite in a well protected box. The large spinner was shipped without padding in a Macy's carboard box. Both were quite beautiful in design, outside and inside. Upon arrival, the large spinner shipped without padding had multiple areas of damage with dents especially at the corners and edges. If it can't survive shipping in a standard box without the weight of contents, I can only imagine what it would look like after airport luggage transport. Will keep the carry on case, as that will not be checked. Returned the large spinner in favor of another exterior.

Super light
I have an XL and needed one smaller. Got the large and I love it. It’s super lightweight and allows me to pack more. It’s super agile. It just glides like it’s on ice!

Large, sturdy and quality luggage
Samsonite has created a masterpiece here. Tested it in a 16 hr transpacific flight and came out unscathed. I was worried about dents but couldn’t see any. I have a few more trips to test this on but I’m confident it will perform well.

Called a carry-on yet exceeds size allowances
How is this a carry-on if it exceeds the dimensional allowance of 90% of US and international airlines????

good quality
This was a really heavy for me. that us why i gave 4 stars. So comfortable and easy to adjust. I like a recessed button so that I am not constantly changing the handle height accidentally.
