Nice size but central stone appears black not blue

The ring is beautiful, but the central stone appears almost black. The little sapphires on the side have traces of blue but mostly the large stone does not shine as blue as it does in the pictures. All my research on this shows the almost black stone is commercially used, and is not as valuable as the sapphires that appear dark blue. I would not buy this again.
