    yes it’s soft but I will not be purchasing a second one as planned. I gave it to my dog to use for cuddling since the hair also falls out & I can easily unzip to wash.

The fur side is shiny and soft as well. I like it in the black color. I have received many compliments on it and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for such a sleek comfortable pillow.
