Paid for expedited shipping - the dress arrived with a tear around the zipper area and the security tag still attached to the dress. Luckly there was another size at a store 20+ miles away that i was able to drive and collect as customer service option would not arrive the following week after i would need the dress. was not happy about the customer service.

Was shipped a previously worn/damaged dress!
My daughter tried this dress on at Macy's in Downtown Summerlin but it was too big. They did not have the next size down available to try on and potentially purchase. I found the dress on my Macys app and had it shipped. The dress arrived in a box folded over on a hanger with some clear plastic wrapped around and then tied in a big knot on the bottom of the gown. As my daughter pulled it out to try it on, she noticed all these sequins/rhinestones missing off of the dress. There were 15 which were laying in the plastic. The clasp above the zipper was bent and hanging by a thread. As she slipped the dress on, I noticed the bottom of the dress was greyish as if it was dragged on the ground. Clearly this dress was not new. Perhaps it had been tried on several times and was paraded around on a dirty floor. Very disappointing for what should have been a beautiful dress. I am a long standing customer with Macy's. Never have I ever been so disappointed. No response to date.

Lovely Dress- Awful Customer Service
First, I want to preface this by saying that it’s a lovely dress. It is the service and the delivery that made me rate this purchase with one star. I ordered this dress online after trying it on in store about two and a half weeks before my prom. It came a few days later, and I tried it on immediately because I was so excited. It was perfect and beautiful and I was so happy until I turned around in the mirror and saw that there was a long tear alongside the zipper. This was on a Saturday night, and I decided to go into the store on Monday after work to try to see if I could get it exchanged. Monday came around, and I went into Macys with my big beautiful dress and brought it to the counter. The lady was not very nice to me, and I could hear the condescension in her tone. I am a little over eighteen, if that matters, and I look young for my age. Despite that, she wasn’t taking my issue seriously and she told me that I should take my dress home and “have mommy sew it”. I explained to her that I wanted to exchange it and I would appreciate it if she would check inventory for me. She did so, and let me know that the nearest Macys that had it in stock could get it shipped to me. I was quite happy and told her that would be fine as long as it came for my prom a little under two weeks from that day. She frowned at me and told me that unfortunately, it would be about fifteen business days and scheduled delivery was three days after prom. She then proceeded to let me know that I could pay for express shipping if I wanted it in time. Now, I know that working in retail and talking to customers can be difficult, but I tried my best to be very polite about the entire situation. I asked her if it was possible for Macys to expedite the shipping, since it was their fault that my dress was torn during delivery and she refused. In hindsight, I should have asked to see a manager, but I was embarrassed and felt like she was being very condescending to me. I actually have a few years experience with sewing, and i was able to fix it at home to a point where it shouldn’t be noticeable, but she didn’t know that. I just feel like I wasn’t asking for too much and I don’t understand why she couldn’t work with me at least a little bit. Anyway, I’m going to hesitate for sure in buying a dress from Macys again because I know that customer service is so much better elsewhere.
