Poor Product
I trusted Scott products for years. No more. Purchased Scott’s Topsoil to do patch grass seeding. Product is not topsoil it is bark mulch. Can’t get grass seed to grow in it and it is no light it easily washed away. Scott’s-do better !!!!

Misleading Packaging
please be advised, this is NOT topsoil. This is low-grade compost at best. It will not work for filling any volume, as the wood chips and peat moss will break down over time. Please just find a local landscape company that has proper topsoil, sand and compost. Make your own

The Only Thing Growing Is My Regret
I bought four bags of Scott’s “Premium Topsoil” with dreams of enriching my garden beds and giving my plants the VIP treatment. Instead, I opened the bags and was greeted by a sad pile of ground-up wood that looked like it had been through a chipper and a midlife crisis. Not a speck of actual soil in sight — just mulch masquerading as topsoil like it was trying to sneak past security at a gardening convention. My plants stared at me in confusion. One tomato plant actually leaned away from it. I think it’s filing for emancipation. If you’re hoping for something dark, rich, and full of life — like actual dirt — keep moving. But if you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could pay for mulch, but in a misleading bag,” well, friend, your weirdly specific dream just came true. 10/10 for disappointment. Would recommend only to someone I secretly resent.

Don’t buy Scott’s top soil
The top soil has a lot of wood chips in it. It looks like I put wood chips down on my lawn then dirt. I am very disappointed with this product. I have use this before but never had wood chips in it
