Poor quality

Purchased for vacation rental to protect a mattress. Out of the bag It had a chemical smell so washed and dryed on gentle cycle. Never got to use as the upper side fell apart with plastic and fabric separating- weirdest thing I've ever seen. Thankfully Macy's backed the return. Don't waste your money.

hot & baggy

Protector is too baggy over the mattress (no additional mattress pad or anything). It leaves gaps on the corners, so it twists and folds during the night making it uncomfortable. It also retains heat.

Pretty Uncomfortable

You can feel confident that this will encompass your entire mattress and block out allergens and water, but it comes with significant tradeoffs. The material is quite thick compared to other waterproof mattress covers I've used (only one face is waterproof, and the rest is a thickly woven polyester). It definitely runs pretty hot underneath you--in fact I'm not sure I'll be able to keep using it into the summer, which kind of defeats the purpose of buying it. It also fits really really big on my thick foam mattress, so much so that you might wonder at first if you got sent the wrong size. A good mattress protector gives you peace of mind without constantly reminding you it's there by bunching up under your sheets and making you hot, and that's not this one.
