Really unhappy with Macys for damaged vest

Vest arrived damaged, reached out to cust service immediately via chat on Macys website. Said specifically “faux vest by Sebby arrived damaged”. Macys rep refunded wrong, less expensive item I was keeping (a hat) and told me the item would be reshipped, or I could be refunded and discard of the vest. I chose option 2 since I had ordered it to the east coast to wear on that trip and it wouldn’t arrive again in time for it to be usable. Long story short- I looked days later, realized their mistake. Went over the story 5x times with multiple reps who said they’d escalate to supervisor then bumped me back to a 35 min wait again for customer service. Literally it’s been multiple hours, no resolution, and I’m out the vest AND the money. Had the rep originally told me to return it which she specfically said it was not required (i returned other items from this order)- I’d have brought it back a state over and returned it as well. Still no resolution and I’m super annoyed about the time and money wasted with Macys. Last I heard they said the company wants pictures of the damaged item.. the item I’ve expressed multiple times I no longer have haha. So, awesome. Thanks Macys.
