DO NOT BUY

I bought these earrings to wear with a pink sapphire ring and necklace I purchased in India. I had only wore them once before I put them on this month (December 2022) for a Christmas party and the post broke off one of the earrings. I have had cheap earrings last for years.

Deceiving/inaccurate description??

These are not crystal and are not fake. However, the bag that they came in lists the description as lab-created sapphires. Lab-created stones share many of the same chemical properties as natural stones and are considered to be real. Usually, Macy's is pretty clear in labeling their lab-created jewelry as such. I don't know how they missed this item. And I'm not sure that you can call lab-created stones "semi-precious" as this item's description clearly states. Aside from that, the stones are medium dark with no inclusions, because they are lab-created. They do sparkle somewhat under the light. They are channel set. The vendor enclosed a stamped message on the back of the invoice stating that there is a lifetime warranty and provided the website to register, so that is a plus. I always wonder how secure channel settings are as it would be noticeable if one of the stones fell out.

Junk -don't bother

Don't bother buying these- they are crystal and not at all what they claim. Macys should not be selling third party junk and passing it for real jewelry.
