These are very nice looking but the thinner part of the rod is not think enough for the screw to hold it in place at the top to keep the curtain in place when opening and closing the drapes. Too bad
The curtain rod is painted and parts of the black is faded.

Do not buy these. Nothing on the backside of the mount is holding the arm out. We had two break. The finish is very fake gold spray paint also.
I should have looked at the reviews before buying. The screw to hold the rod does not go into the rod, it goes above the rod. Every time we open the curtains, the rod moves and then the center part falls out. It’s frustrating to discover this after spending so much time getting them up. Macy’s needs to understand that this is a design flaw and not a defective issue.
