Not for thick carpet
This vacuum has lots of great attachments, seems well made, easy to assemble and has great suction. HOWEVER, oing forward on thick carpet is fine, it's very self-propelled, but when you try to pull the vacuum back towards you it feels like it weighs 400 lb. It's not the weight, it's the spinning beater bar and the suction that makes it incredibly difficult to use on thick carpet. Had I known that, had I tested it in advance on thick carpet, I would not have bought it. If I were only using it on very thin Berber carpet or more like thin commercial carpet, probably.

head light flaw
Got a new one and the 2 head lights kept flickering on and off, was sent another base, same problem. was told to "cut the cord' and they would send me another brand new one, got it...same problem. Tired of dealing with it now, will just use as is. Pretty pricey for 3 of them having the same problem.

Product quality.
My third Powerdetect, two are replacement units. Wires are very stiff and kink and break. replacement took 2 weeks to receive. Vacuum is quite heavy but does work well.

Junk
I had this vacuum for four months. The gears are grinding when I pull backwards on it after spending 45 minutes on the phone with them to detect troubles, which I knew I wouldn’t be able to but I did what they asked, also the upholstery tool where you connected to the hose on the toilet itself. It’s all cracking after using a few times I’d say maybe 10 and they want me to pay to ship it back. I don’t think so. I’ll return it to the store and find a different product to buy. It does suck good yet I guess that is a plus

Don’t buy!
Wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased. I loved my old shark vacuum, it lasted 10 years! This one is super heavy. It over suctions and I can’t use it on my large rugs. It sucks them up and stops working. After one full house vacuum, it already appears clogged towards the top of the unit but I don’t even know how I’d get that out. Doesn’t appear to be reachable. All the parts were mailed separately in 6 boxes! Not sure how I’d even attempt to return. I feel like I threw my money away. DON’T BUY THIS VACUUM!!

Power Swich broke after 8 months
I havent even had it a year and the power switch is broken. Vacuum goes on at plug in and wont turn off anymore with switch. Has great power and suction and cleans dirt out of rugs you didnt know was there deep down, so I gave it 2☆. Switch failure prompted me to give this a poor rating

Horrible for German Shepherd owners
I bought this thinking it would easily pick up my German Shepherds hair. It does that easily but my biggest issue is the roller gets clogged easily and the roller bar in the front gets tangled full of hair!!! Also the buttons on the handle ate touch sensitive and ate constantly changing and the vacuum is so heavy! This vacuum is the biggest waste of money! I hate I wasted all that money on this. I've had it about 3 months or so. Plenty of time to test it out.

Worst vacuum ever
This is the worst vacuum I've ever owned. The auto detect is a joke. It just doesn't work at all near walls. It won't shut off when you hit the button. If you even slightly bump into something it errors out and you have to shut it off to reset. And it's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to use on area rugs. I spend 10 times cleaning with this vacuum than I should and 90% of that time is pulling rugs out of it or having to turn it on and off. Thanks Shark for making it harder to clean. Will be returning ASAP unless I take a sledgehammer to it first.
