Heavy!

This is a VERY powerful vacuum BUT, it is VERY HEAVY and hard to push! I have called shark and they tell me “that’s just the way it is!” There is no problem with the suction it will easily suck up your area rugs or anything else in its way! I have never seen such a powerful suction and that is why I wanted this vacuum. With the dirt detector it can find any minuscule piece of dirt,lint, pet hair etc. Only draw back is how hard it is to push and how heavy, you can change the settings but, as you are vacuuming they will change back and forth and they. Maybe make it a tad easier but, not by much! This vacuum is not good for seniors or people with bad shoulders or a bad knee because, of its heaviness plus, being so hard to push! That being said if you want a vacuum that’s a workhorse this is definitely it!

Great for 8 Pets

Shark PowerDetect Review I’ve had this vacuum for 7 months now and I’m going to give it an honest review after regular use. I have 8 animals: 2 dogs and 6 cats, my big dog is a German shepherd mix and sheds a lot. Prior to this vacuum I had a Shark Navigator LiftAway for 7 years and I LOVED it, it still works but little pieces were breaking down on it so it was time to replace it. Because I loved my previous vacuum the PowerDetect had a lot to live up to. The pros: >Amazing suction >Really good at getting pet hair out of carpet >Great for corners and along edges >Easy empty canister >Great for hard floors and carpet >Easy to clean filters >Power button on handle >5 year warranty The cons: >Pet hair gets clogged up in the soft roller so we have to remember to clean it out regularly or it will eventually burn up the motor. It is easy to pop out though. >The hose on this vacuum is either shorter or more stiff so it’s not as easy to stretch for high up spaces. >The suction is too powerful on all settings for some runner rugs and when using as a lift away it can seem like you’re fighting to keep control on carpet. >The surface selection buttons are easy to accidentally change while vacuuming and the vacuum has to be turned off and back on to get back to “detect” mode. >This vacuum is noticeably heavier than my last, but I was aware when I purchased it. All around it’s a good vacuum, especially for people with pets. There are a few details I would change, personally, but they are compromises I’m willing to make for a good vacuum.

Great vacuum

I have been buying back Shark vacuums for years and I am never disappointed this one is amazing!!

Too heavy and bulky

This is a very heavy machine. I was not satisfied with it so I returned it. I'm still waiting on my refund! I would not recommend buying from the website.

Awesome cleaning

We have a lab Pyrenees mix. This thing is awesome. I give it five stars. The dogs give it zero stars. Lol. I basically use the detect button on all the hard floors. And on any carpet, I have to use the highest shag otherwise it red lines right away but the highest shag setting does a great job.

Total Junk

I bought this vacuum cleaner almost a year ago and it has been nothing but junk. I have had Filter Queen, a Rainbow and a Kirby. I bought this because I needed something lighter. That’s the only thing that’s better than the other machines. The problem is it stays clogged up. You have to pick up every scrap of paper or anything else on the floor. I truly wish I had never bought this junk. I’ve had a Shark steam mop for years and I have repeatedly replaced it when it has broken. After this experience I am 100% finished with all Shark products.

The best!

Excellent vacuum to clean under furniture. When you remove the wand , the handle has a light allowing you to see, the suction is amazing. My third shark upright and am so thrilled with it
